Directions to Country Mile Escape
We are in the Flying Fox Valley, about 1 hour 20 minutes from Brisbane and 15 minutes from Canungra. A standard car is fine.
From Canungra, turn right at the T intersection onto Beechmont Road and pass the army barracks. From the Beaudesert–Nerang Road, turn left onto Beechmont Road. After 2.6 km, turn right onto Upper Coomera Road (it is not well signposted). After 4.6 km, turn left onto Flying Fox Road. Cross the small creek, then turn right onto Little Flying Fox Road. After 630 m of dirt road, our concrete driveway is on the left, and a sign at the top points you to your cottage.
The roads are narrow with some blind corners, so please drive to the conditions.
Common questions
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 2pm and check-out is by 10am.
Do I need a 4WD to get there?
No. A standard sedan is fine. The last 630 m is a dirt road.
Is there wifi?
No. The cottages are a chance for a digital detox. Because of the remote location there is no wifi, and phone reception can be intermittent.
Can I bring my dog?
No. Country Mile Escape is a working cattle farm, so the cottages are not suitable for pets.
Where can we eat nearby?
Canungra is 15 minutes away, with the Canungra Hotel, Canungra Pizza, Ginja Ninja and Canungra Café. Eateries close at 8pm. Canungra Valley Vineyard is 25 minutes away.

If you are driving from Canungra, you will come the T Intersection, you will turn right and now be travelling on Beechmont Road, you will be passing the army barracks which will be on left hand side of you.
If you are travelling on the Beaudesert Nerang Road to Country Mile Escape you will turn left onto Beechmont Road.
You will travel for 2.6 Km from the T intersection, when you will come to a turn on your right, (there is not much signage, so keep a look out for the turn) you will now be travelling on Upper Coomera Road.
After travelling for 4.6km you will now turn left onto Flying Fox Road.
When you drive over a small creek crossing you will need to turn right onto Little Flying Fox Road.
For the next 630 metre you will be travelling a dirt road, when you will see a concrete driveway on the left-hand side of Little Flying Fox Road, you have arrived at Country Mile Escape.
Drive up the concrete driveway and you will come to a small sign, (you will see it as you drive off the concrete driveway) on the left-hand side of the driveway, to direct you to the studio that you are staying at.
Please be aware that the roads travelling to Country Mile Escape are not very wide and has some blind corners. Please drive to the conditions of the road and stay on your side of the road.
